Lauren's passion for the craft was ignited when she stumbled upon New York City's iconic 47th Diamond District, where she uncovered the rich legacy and traditions of the industry. Drawing inspiration from the old-world charm of the district, she saw an opportunity to bring a fresh perspective into an age-old industry. By fostering strong relationships with multi-generational suppliers, gem dealers, and master craftsmen, Lauren delved into the intricacies of diamond sourcing, jewelry design, and craftsmanship, experiencing the pure magic that emanated from each creation.

Immersing herself in the intricacies of the diamond industry, it was in New York's Diamond District Lauren accessed the old-world trade and built relationships with generational suppliers, dealers, and traditional craftsmen. Naturally, she learned all facets of the business: learning how to source diamonds, and creating jewelry in the best conditions with people who possess deep knowledge of master craftsmanship. It was there she found her calling and decided to devote her career to the industry.
Early on, Lauren saw how fascinating the diamond industry was and wanted to open up access to a broader segment. Recognizing not many of her peers knew about diamond dealers and traditional jewelers, other than large corporate household luxury brands, she recognized an opportunity in the market. First, she saw how desperately the industry needed more trust and transparency. Secondly, she wanted to protect and preserve this dying craft on New York’s 47th street which the industry depends on.
In an industry that has been historically dominated by men, Lauren, a first-generation diamantaire, established LAURENTI NEW YORK with the intention of increasing trust, transparency, and sustainability.
