This certificate is essential for accessing services. For high-value jewelry purchases over 1 carat, items are certified by renowned bodies like GIA, IGI, GCAL. You can also opt for an insurance appraisal starting at $75 by The Gemological Appraisal Laboratory of America; appraisals are complimentary for items over $2,000.
