Founded in New York by Lauren Petrovic, Laurenti was born from a leap of faith and an unexpected detour into New York's Diamond District.

Petrovic moved to New York with big dreams, never imagining she would find herself in the heart of an old-world industry, that spoke to her so deeply. What started as curiosity became a calling. She fell in love with the permanence of jewelry, with its ability to hold a lifetime of memory, emotion, and identity.

Before founding Laurenti, she saw an industry rich in tradition - but closed off in experience - beautiful, but distant. She wanted to bring it back to what luxury had lost: human connection, collaboration, craftsmanship, and trust.

Timeline

2021 - Inspiration struck in the Diamond District

Ms. Petrovic’s passion for the industry was ignited when she first stumbled upon New York City's iconic 47th Diamond District. She quickly uncovered the rich legacy and traditions of the industry, and saw an opportunity to bring a fresh perspective to an antiquated industry. Building strong relationships with multi-generational suppliers, gem dealers, and master craftsmen, Lauren immersed herself in diamond sourcing and jewelry design. She was a quick study of jewelry manufacturing, and the market for precious stones.

Early on, Lauren saw how fascinating the diamond industry was and wanted to open up access to a broader segment. Recognizing not many of her peers knew about diamond dealers and traditional jewelers, other than large corporate household luxury brands, she recognized an opportunity in the market. 

2022 - Laurenti New York Launched

Laurenti New York officially launches, bringing a new voice to the fine jewelry world - one centered on traceability, timeless design, and personalized experience. Lauren forges direct relationships with multi-generational artisans, eliminating industry opacity and offering clients access to true craftsmanship.

2023 - Launched Traceability Program

After noticing a lack of trust and transparency, Laurenti started by creating a rigorous protocol for diamond and gold sourcing that goes beyond current industry practices.

2024 - Deepening Legacy, Expanding Impact

Laurenti also deepened its focus on sustainability and legacy.

  • Hosted its first private pop-up at the iconic Lotte New York Palace Hotel, bringing its bespoke experience to a historic setting and expanding its community of collectors and clients.
  • Launches post-consumer diamond reuse program for custom designs
  • Expands bespoke services with virtual consultations, heirloom resets, and access to rare fancy cuts and fancy colored diamonds.
  • Introduces Women Building Legacy campaign, spotlighting purpose-driven founders and creatives
  • Enters strategic retail partnership with iconic jeweler William Barthman Jeweler, bringing Laurenti’s signature pieces to a broader clientele
2025 - The Future of Legacy

Looking ahead, 2025 will debut Bespoke Archives, a digital feature to preserve the story behind each custom piece, and introduce resale authentication to support long-term value and circularity, while continuing to scale partnerships with impact-driven suppliers and retailers globally.
